Danish Girl

Just wondering...does everybody hate this book? Should I show my face here again?

You are too funny. I'm making my way through it, but slowly. I do want to and will finish it - and it's definitely fodder for discussion.

I forgot to pack it on my last trip out of town and was forced to buy a book at the airport. I got Freddy and Fredericka - which is like an adult's version of Harry Potter. I keep deciding that it's not that good, but then I can't stop reading it. It's a parody of the royal family - and to atone for his misbehavior the prince (and princess) are sent to america to live as commoners. Anyone else out there read it?

I promise to get my butt in gear and post about the Danish Girl soon.

You can always show your face! Where's our picture of you?!

You are not alone, Erin, although I cannot seem to get past the 5th chapter! Yawn...I am determine to finish it just so I can participate in the discussing, if we actually get to that! I have been spending WAY too much time on the internet (totally addicted to these blogs and myspace) that I've detracted from my reading time. I have not begun the Time Traveler's Wife, although I'm tempted to toss Danish Girl and start it. I hope all is well with everyone!

My delinquency is that I've lost my copy of the book somewhere in the limbo that is our homeless state. I set it aside while packing because I was already to chapter 4 and really enjoying it. Apparently, I did not execute my plan well, and it must have made it's way into a box anyway because it's nowhere to be found. I just need to stop at the library and pick up a copy to tide me over, but you all know how I feel about the library.
